The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Magnolia Grove is a Public, 54 hole golf facility located in Mobile, Alabama. The course has three 18-hole courses, The Falls, The Crossings, and the par-3 Short Course.
The property at Magnolia Grove includes creeks, marshland, and lakes, with each of the 54 holes carved from a thick forest of hardwood and pine.
The main tract is The Falls, which is characterized by large, liberally contoured greens and massive, cloverleaf bunkers. On the 10th, a 570 yard par 5 and possibly the best strategic hole on the course, a waterfall cascades across stair steps just beneath a contoured green that falls eight feet from front to back.
The Crossings, which doubles across railroad tracks is a shotmaker's layout. It occupies hillier terrain than the Falls, with several pulpit greens elevated well above fairway levels. The Crossings is also home to the LPGA's Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions.
Most of the holes on the Short Course, recently named the best par 3 course in America, call for forced carries over marsh to liberally sloped, bulk headed greens and are equal to any of the one-shotters on the full-length courses.

DON'T CARE MUCH FOR COURSE OR LAYOUT. TENDS TO BE WET AND MARSHY. BALLS TEND TO PLUG IN FAIRWAYS. ALSO SOME HOLES HAVE FORCED CARRY OVER WASTE AREAS. BETTER PLAY FROM THE MEN'S WHITE OR CLOSER UP UNLESS YOU HIT 275 YARD OR LONGER DRIVES.

This is my favorite course @ Magnolia Grove. These courses are just awesome. In any major city you would pay 150-200 to play. Super deal. Every one we have met on the trail takes the time to see that you are enjoying yourselves and is willing to give you history of the area, places to visit, eat, etc. They are ambassadors for their area. Take the time to play all 3 course here, you will not be sorry.
